As we grow older, changes in bone health, muscle strength and balance can increase the risk of falls and fractures, affecting mobility and quality of life. Older adults and their family members are warmly invited to join this health promotion event to learn practical ways to maintain strong bones, prevent falls and support healthy ageing through good nutrition.
Orthopaedic doctors, physiotherapists and dietitians will share professional advice on bone health, appropriate exercise, balanced nutrition and everyday fall prevention. Participants can also take part in on-site screening to gain an initial understanding of their risk of falls and fractures, and learn about steps they can take to help protect their health and independence.
